Woodlinks Village is located on a fully vegetated site featuring a mix of remnant vegetation and abundant koala habitat trees. Bordered by Goodna Creek, the site plays a key role in future fauna linkage through the suburb. The project required extensive surveying, reporting, and planning to support approvals across Local, State, and Commonwealth Government processes. Notably, Woodlinks Village was the first residential project to obtain an EPBC Permit triggered by the listing of the koala and was also the first to deliver post-approval documents forming the Koala Management Plan and Offset Management Plan.
Landscape consultancy for this large-scale residential development included the Collingwood Drive intersection, a Local Recreation Park, and 8 hectares of creek rehabilitation. Services spanned from concept design through to Operational Works Approvals, including Open Space Master Plans, detailed design for tender, and contract administration through to the handover of assets to Ipswich City Council.
