INVITATION FOR PUBLIC COMMENT

Scenic Precinct, Springfield, Queensland (EPBC2020/8651)

 

Springfield City Group Pty Ltd is seeking approval under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) to develop a mixed-use precinct on Lot 51 on SP242316, part of Lot 1 on RP863336 and part of Lot 50 on SP242316 located at Springfield College Drive, Springfield, Queensland (EPBC 2020/8651).

 

The proposed development was determined a controlled action under the EPBC Act with assessment by Preliminary Documentation. The controlling provisions are listed threatened species and communities (sections 18 and 18A of the EPBC Act), including the Koala (Phascolarctos cinereus) (combined populations of QLD, NSW and ACT), Grey-headed Flying-fox (Pteropus poliocephalus), Swift Parrot (Lathamus discolor) and Regent Honeyeater (Anthochaera phrygia).

 

In accordance with section 95A(3) of the EPBC Act, public comments are now invited on the Preliminary Documentation for the proposed development for a period of 15 business days from Thursday 27th November to Wednesday the 17th of December 2025. Hard copies of the Preliminary Documentation will be available at each of the following locations:

State Library of Queensland – Stanley Place, South Brisbane, QLD 4101
