Peninsula Precinct, Springfield, Queensland (EPBC2020/8629)

The following notice is published pursuant to section 95B(2) of the EPBC Act.

Springfield City Group Pty Ltd is seeking approval under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) to develop a mixed-use precinct on Lot 163 on SP303741 located at Brookwater Drive, Springfield, Queensland (EPBC 2020/8629).

The proposed development was determined a controlled action under the EPBC Act with assessment by Preliminary Documentation. The controlling provisions are listed threatened species and communities (sections 18 and 18A of the EPBC Act), including the Koala (Phascolarctos cinereus) (combined populations of QLD, NSW and ACT), Grey-headed Flying-fox (Pteropus poliocephalus), Swift Parrot (Lathamus discolor) and Regent Honeyeater (Anthochaera phrygia).

The Preliminary Documentation for the proposal was published and public comments were sought between Wednesday the 26^th November to Saturday the 9^th January 2026. A total of 140 comments were received. The period for public comment has now closed.

A copy of the Preliminary Documentation and a summary of the comments received will be available for public viewing for a period of 20 business days from Tuesday the 20^th October to Monday the 16^th November 2026 at each of the following locations:
