INVITATION FOR PUBLIC COMMENT

New Beith Road Upgrade, Queensland (EPBC2023/09505)

Peet Flagstone City Pty Ltd is seeking approval under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) to upgrade New Beith Road, Flagstone, Queensland. The project is located within the Greater Flagstone Priority Development Area, Queensland (EPBC 2023/09505).

The proposed development was determined a controlled action under the EPBC Act with assessment by Preliminary Documentation. The controlling provisions are listed threatened species and communities (sections 18 and 18A of the EPBC Act), including the Subtropical eucalypt floodplain forest and woodland of the New South Wales North Coast and Southeast Queensland bioregions Threatened Ecological Community, Koala (Phascolarctos cinereus) (combined populations of QLD, NSW and ACT), Grey-headed Flying-fox (Pteropus poliocephalus), Greater Glider (Petauroides volans) (southern), Swift Parrot (Lathamus discolor), Regent Honeyeater (Anthochaera phrygia) and Yellow-bellied Glider (Petaurus australis australis) (south-eastern).

In accordance with section 95A(3) of the EPBC Act, public comments are now invited on the Preliminary Documentation for the proposed development for a period of 10 business days from Friday the 28^th of November to Thursday the 11^th of December 2025. Hard copies of the Preliminary Documentation will be available at each of the following locations:
