For information Only - New Beith Road Upgrade, Queensland (EPBC2023/09505)
The following notice is published pursuant to section 95B(4) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).
Peet Flagstone City Pty Ltd is seeking approval under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) to upgrade New Beith Road, Flagstone, Queensland. The project is located within the Greater Flagstone Priority Development Area, Queensland (EPBC 2023/09505).
The proposed development was determined a controlled action under the EPBC Act with assessment by Preliminary Documentation. The controlling provisions are listed threatened species and communities (sections 18 and 18A of the EPBC Act), including the Subtropical eucalypt floodplain forest and woodland of the New South Wales North Coast and Southeast Queensland bioregions Threatened Ecological Community, Koala (Phascolarctos cinereus) (combined populations of QLD, NSW and ACT), Grey-headed Flying-fox (Pteropus poliocephalus), Greater Glider (Petauroides volans) (southern), Swift Parrot (Lathamus discolor), Regent Honeyeater (Anthochaera phrygia) and Yellow-bellied Glider (Petaurus australis australis) (south-eastern).
Public comments on the Preliminary Documentation for the proposed development were sought for a period of 10 business days from Friday the 28th of November to Thursday the 11th of December 2025. No submissions were received.
Hard copies of the final Preliminary Documentation will be available for viewing only for a period of 10 business days from Friday the 12th to Thursday the 25th of June 2026 at each of the following locations:
