Saunders Havill Group was engaged to assist in securing a Preliminary Approval to override the Ipswich Planning Scheme for approximately 150 hectares of land at Redbank Plains. In 2012, Saunders Havill Group successfully obtained a Negotiated Decision from Ipswich City Council.
Whilst the high-level Preliminary Approval previously secured by Saunders Havill Group established the overall framework for development, several detailed matters required resolution as part of the Stages 4–5 application. These included considerations relating to the Six Mile Creek buffer, stormwater management, the future Redbank Plains Distributor Road, and the future rail corridor.
