Keira is an environmental planner and environmental scientist with experience working in both the public and private sectors. Her professional interests lie in focusing urban design and education towards planning for sustainable, social and functional developments. Keira supports innovative, progressive development while appreciating community and environmental needs.
Keira has worked on a range of small to large scale government, infrastructure and land development projects providing both environmental assessment and sustainability advice. Her project experience has mainly centered on identifying and acquiring environmental and planning permits and approvals for disaster recovery works across Queensland and responding to environmental condition requirements for a number of Commonwealth environmental impact statements. Keira's experience in these projects has allowed her to develop a broad understanding cross of current legislation across all levels of government particularly in relation to works within tidal areas, marine parks, fish habitat and native title designations.
